Overview#
The Learning module (LMS) covers course authoring and versioning, learning paths, lessons, quizzes, enrollments (including mandatory training), graded assignments, and certificates.
Purpose#
Show employees how to enroll in and complete a course, and show Learning Administrators how to build and assign content.
Prerequisites#
- At least one published course (or learning path) to enroll in.
Step-by-Step Instructions#
Building a course (Learning Administrator)#
- Create a Course. Courses are versioned — each edit can become a new course version.
- Add lessons to the course version, and add quizzes with questions and answers where knowledge checks are needed.
- Tag the course, link relevant skills, and set any prerequisites.
- Publish the course version to make it available for enrollment.
- Optionally group several courses into a Learning Path with a defined order, then publish the path.
Assigning training#
- Assign a course to an individual, in batch to a list of employees, or to an entire department.
- Use mandatory-apply to bulk-require a course for a target group; enrollments in this case may require approval before they start, depending on configuration.
Taking a course (employee)#
- Open My Learning in the learning area, or self-enroll in an available course.
- Start the course, complete each lesson, and use Resume to pick up where you left off.
- Take the quiz where required; attempts are tracked.
- Submit any graded assignment associated with the course for review.
- Mark the course complete once all lessons (and any required quiz/assignment) are finished.
Certificates and progress#
- View your issued certificates under My Certificates once a course or path is completed.
- Administrators can issue or revoke certificates, and review completion, pass-rate, and mandatory-compliance analytics.
Screens Involved#
Expected Results#
Employees can find, take, and complete assigned or self-enrolled training, with progress and quiz attempts tracked, and administrators can see completion and compliance at a department level.
Not Available in This Release#
- No SCORM or xAPI import for third-party course content.
- No built-in video hosting/streaming integration.
- No gamification features (badges, leaderboards) beyond certificates.
Common Mistakes#
- Editing a published course version directly instead of creating a new version, which can cause confusion about what learners already completed.
- Assigning mandatory training without checking whether your configuration requires enrollment approval first.
- Forgetting to publish a learning path after adding courses to it.
Troubleshooting#
A course does not appear in My Learning.#
Confirm the course (or its current version) has been published and that you have either been assigned it or that self-enrollment is open for it.
My quiz attempt did not save.#
Complete the quiz using the in-app "play" flow rather than navigating away mid-attempt; attempts are recorded as you submit them.

FAQ#
Can I import a SCORM package?
Not in this release. Course content is authored natively (lessons, quizzes, assignments) rather than imported from SCORM/xAPI packages.
How do I know which courses are mandatory for me?
Mandatory courses appear in your assigned learning with their required status; mandatory-compliance reporting is available to administrators at a department level.
Can AI recommend a course for me?
The AI Platform’s AI Skills include a course/learning-path recommendation prompt an administrator or the system can run — it is an assistive lookup, not an automatic recommendation feed built into the standard learner experience.
Best Practices#
- Version a course instead of editing it in place once learners have started it.
- Group related courses into a learning path for structured onboarding or compliance training.
- Review completion and pass-rate analytics after each mandatory training rollout.
